Gilbert Ernest Hubbard, 27 Nisan 1855’ de doğmuştur. Annesi Agnes Mary Scott, babası ise Cyril Egerton Hubbard’dır. Dorothy Wheatley Johnson’ la evlenmiş olup iki çocuk babasıdır. 1913 yılında Osmanlı Devleti, İran, Rusya ve İngiltere arasında imzalanan protokola göre Türk-İran sınır sorununu çözmek amacı ile kurulan Kara SularınıSınırlandırma Komitesi Sekreterliği’ni yapmıştır. 1955 yılında vefat etmiştir (x).
